Merrill Publishing Associates was organized in 2005 to give notice to one particular, outstanding collection of photos: The Roy Campbell Collection. Most of our railroad books, CDs and posters are photos from the collection, many which have never been published. Roy was a railroad hobbyist, vice-president of the Railroad Society of Milwaukee and an avid railroad photographer. His artistic photographs won awards in exhibitions in Milwaukee's Layton Art Gallery. In addition to his own photography he amassed one of the largest and finest private collections in the Midwest. Information accompanying the photos was researched by lifelong rail fan, Thomas E. Burg, with the assistance of Ralph Wehlitz, a master model railroader.
